Naming a GPS tracker after a famous comic-book character known for its ongoing fight against evil must have seemed a pretty nifty idea for Rocky Mountain Tracking, since they've called their latest product the...Ghost Rider.

We're not really sure whether the company has managed to acquire the rights of usage to the name (we suspect that they don't come cheap), but it's important to mention that, apart from the company opting for this rather unusual name, the GPS tracker is not related in any way to the famous fiery, skeleton-headed character.

However, there is a level of similitude between the two, namely the fact that the GPS tracker from Rocky Mountain Tracking has also been designed as to fight evil and protect one's assets and belongings, by keeping the user informed on their respective whereabouts at all times.

Hence, the device is capable of delivering live tracking of the device it's attached to via an online application, while also providing such information as a location history with address, date and time stamp, as well as a low-battery notification.

And since we're on this topic, it's also important to point out that the Ghost Rider's battery can record for up to 5 days non-stop, as long as the recording interval is set at around 30 seconds (this interval can vary, though, between 10 seconds and 5 minutes).

Plus, the Ghost Rider should be fairly easy to carry around, given the fact that it measures 4 x 2.5 x 1 inches.

Despite providing a rather interesting set of features, the Ghost Rider GPS tracker from Rocky Mountain Tracking is not exactly what we'd call affordable, given the fact that it sells for around 395.00 US dollars, not including here the 35 US dollars activation fee, as well as the rest of the monthly fees, that depend directly on the number of locations this thing can record.
