The organizers of Design Automation Conference (DAC) have announced that attendees wearing an I LOVE DAC button will be eligible to win one of three $600 Apple gift cards. Atrenta, Cadence, and SpringSoft are also sponsoring three-day exhibit passes through the third annual ‘I LOVE DAC’ campaign.

DAC is the premier event for the design of electronic circuits and systems, and for electronic design automation (EDA) and silicon solutions.

At this year’s edition, Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak will be interviewed live, on stage, where he will offer unique insight on a wide range of topics, including the ‘joy’ of engineering and following your passion to convert innovative ideas into reality.

Industry luminaries from Freescale Semiconductor, Intel, and IBM will also be speakers at the 48th DAC edition.

The event will be hosted at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California, from June 5-10, 2011 - about the same timeframe for Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference.

For those looking to nab themselves a $600 Apple Gift Card, these will be given out randomly on the show floor to someone wearing a 2009, 2010 or 2011 I LOVE DAC pin.

The pin, which some will undoubtedly hold on to as a collectible, can be picked up at the Atrenta, Cadence or SpringSoft booths, DAC organizers said.

Commenting on the initiative, Thomas Li, marketing director at SpringSoft, said, “SpringSoft is thrilled to sponsor the 'I LOVE DAC' program for the third consecutive year.”

“DAC is an event that the design community shouldn't miss out on, so anything we can do to make it more accessible is good for users, vendors and the industry,” said Li.

“As a leading event for the EDA industry, DAC gives attendees the opportunity to experience the latest advancements in design automation,” Todd Lenz, vice president of global marketing for Cadence Design Systems, added.

“In an industry where collaboration is fundamental to design success, it’s important that we make the DAC exhibits accessible to as many people as possible. The cooperation of Atrenta, Cadence, and SpringSoft will help realize that goal,” Lenz said.
