Second Tomb Raider DLC gets dated

The latest iteration in the Tomb Raider series, Underworld, is gearing up to receive the second DLC episode of content made exclusively for the Xbox 360 version, as Eidos has just announced a few details on the upcoming Lara's Shadow content pack.

Coming hot on the heels of the Beneath the Ashes DLC, Lara's Shadow will replace the lovely Lara Croft, tomb raider, explorer, archaeologist and all-around good girl with an evil version of her, the Doppelganger, who, although she looks like the character we all got to know and love in all the Tomb Raider games, has superhuman powers and is on a mission to end the lineage of the proud Croft family once and for all.

While controlling this new and evil version of Lara, players will get a chance to use the Shadow Powers for a variety of things, like slowing down time or traversing surfaces that would spell death for the regular Lara, and they will also have access to some more deadly weapons with improved attributes like speed, accuracy and impact.

Set to be launched on March 10 onto the Xbox Live Marketplace, Lara's Shadow will also include 125 gamerscore points, meaning that new achievements will be present. Sadly no details on price, but, if we take into consideration the 800 MS Point tag on Beneath the Ashes, it's safe to assume that it will be somewhere around said amount of virtual money.

While these adventures are the last of the scheduled ones that Lara will receive in Tomb Raider Underworld, this doesn't meant that the lovely explorer will see her end, as Square Enix, the company that currently has the biggest chances to take over Eidos, will certainly revive the heroine and give her some new adventures to progress through and tombs to raid.
