Photobucket users can try out three months' worth of a Pro Account

Photobucket has partnered with McDonalds to give its users the possibility to benefit from three months’ worth of their Pro Account. By simply adding a photo or video to the McDonalds Group Album users will shortly receive a free three-month Pro Account.

After introducing Pro accounts earlier this month, Photobucket got multiple thumbs down from its users, who have switched to other image hosting providers. Not many of them were happy, many accusing the company of an under the radar attitude which led to some problems. By not pre-announcing this new feature, due to a huge bandwidth traffic, some accounts were blocked in just a few days, generating some troubles for the owners who hosted their images on Photobucket.

This latest campaign in partnership with McDonalds will surely convince users to give the website a second chance, while at the same time benefiting from its Pro features.

We tested this promotion here at Softpedia and after uploading one of our wallpapers we shortly received an upgrade to Photobucket's premium account. This includes a couple of cool features like unlimited bandwidth, 25 GB account storage, no ads displayed inside the user's album section, possibility to store high-resolution images, discounts when buying prints and more.

The partnership is part of McDonalds’ latest campaign on Photobucket, called “What are you made of,” which welcomes any registered Photobucket user to add photos or videos to a shared album, comment on other photos or simply showcase his artwork to others. Any kind of non-offensive photos or videos that are representative to a person are welcomed.

For now there is no time limit for this promotion, so anyone with a Photobucket account (you can create an account if you don't have one) can benefit from it. During the time it took us to write this article, users flocked in, and already 10 new users uploaded their photos, adding to the promotion's success.

You can register for an account here. You can benefit from the promotion by adding a photo to this album (Photobucket account needed).
