Spying on the neighbors the airborne way

Taking a peek in other people's yards, homes, lives, etc. has been a favorite "sport" for quite a lot of people over the centuries. Actually, one might say this is in our human nature, well-written in our genetic codes. And it would seem that all the curious people out there will now be able to satisfy their thirst for "knowledge" in a very original and more or less hi-tech manner, as the people over at the Discovery Channel Shop have come up with the Radio Control Recon Camera Helicopter, a device that grants users an "airborne" view of the surrounding areas.

Thus, the device is actually nothing more than a radio controlled toy helicopter that has been fitted with real-time video technology, thus allowing the users to see exactly where they're going (or what's going on in the area the helicopter's flying over) from quite a large distance. The bird's eye view provided by the flying "spy" device is displayed directly on a 2-inch LCD screen fitted onto the remote control itself, which makes the Radio Control Recon Camera Helicopter a lot more maneuverable.

However, the helicopter spy system provides extended viewing options, because it comes packed with the necessary cables in order to allow users to output the received video signal directly to a separate TV set. In this way, all the user's friends will be able to enjoy watching their supermodel neighbors going skinny dipping in the pool (just to give a random example).

Leaving aside the espionage-related features, it's worth mentioning the fact that the helicopter is quite an OK radio controlled flying device. Thus, it sports a 3-channel flight control system, it's capable of flying forward, reverse, up, down, left and right and sports a patented rotor system that delivers a very stable flight. Moreover, it comes with 2 sets of blades, for beginners and expert users.

The Radio Control Recon Camera Helicopter retails for around 200 US dollars, a price that, honestly speaking, quite a lot of peeping toms will most certainly fork out in order to get their hands on such a thing.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
