Become famous, become a painting!

If you remember the good old days when games only "knew" 256 colors and occupied less than 10 Mb on your computer's HDD, you must remember the things called developer cameos - usually a picture of the team of developers, hidden somewhere within the game. Well... these days are long gone and a new era has started thanks to the leap forward made by the technology: now you can star in video games! And yes, this is becoming a habit and it is not only about faces - for example, Cities XL will feature user submitted structures.

But back to what matters now: Fable 2 developers Lionhead Studios have asked their fans to send in pictures of themselves and get a chance to be featured as... paintings on the walls of Albion's residences! Yes, we know, not exactly as cool as having a character built from scratch with your face, but it is still much better than nothing. And we're talking about Fable, not an obscure, unknown title!

"All you have to do is send in a picture of yourself in suitable artistic pose. Think old master, royal portraits or even the Mona Lisa! Dress up as an old or modern hero, go out to the countryside and find yourself a deer to shoot (not recommended) or just strike a suiting pose in front of an open fire. The thing that would make it even better is if you were to act out an expression from the original Fable."

However, things are not as easy as they might seem. Only people from the United States, Canada, Switzerland, Norway, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, China, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan and South Korea can be featured as paintings, which means that Africa, India and bits of Asia are left behind this time.

Also, if you plan to give it a shot and hopefully have your face featured in Fable 2, you really have to hurry: the deadline is the 4th of June. Check the Lionhead official website for all the details and rules.
