Creative doesn't give up that easily, even after losing a couple of battles against other big fish in the industry, makers of both PMPs and MP3 players.

Therefore, they sent the latest Zen into the wild, packed with 4GB of pure flash memory. As you probably imagined, it targets the iPod nano as the main competitor. It surely creates some stir in the industry, but some might say it doesn't stand a chance in front if the mighty Apple. It's true, the Zen player offers great specs and a funky design.

Moreover, the player's strong points include a wider range of capacities, a relatively generous display and of course, there is also the fact that you don't have to tie it down to a service like iTunes or other proprietary cable.

To remind you about the stuff it packs, the device comes in a credit-size form shape, with a wide screen where you can see lots of media stuff, such as videos, movies and more. Extra options are said to be the built-in FM tuner, SD card slot for an extra memory boost and more. The maximum storage capacity is of 16GB. It offers support for MP3 and AAC formats, as well as WMA format.

It allows the user to enjoy video in WMV or DivX/XviD at a 320 x 240 pixels resolution. It allows automatic conversion from some other formats as well. It also allows you to view photos on the brilliant 2.5-inch screen in up to 16.7 million colors.

For the ones that are still interested in the Creative Zens, they should know that the Creative web store sells the player for about 100 pounds a piece, which is great, given the internal capabilities and the fact that it now comes in 4GB capacity.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
