While your personal finances could be managed easier, even without the help of a computer and a specialized software, things look really different when we're talking about an entire company. If I only think for a split second about the beginning of the industrial age and how hard would be to manage a large number of assets using some large registers and, of course, a lot of notebooks to carry with you here and there and write things down, I get an instant headache. Good for us we have computers, and also capable programs, so things are much easier these days.

Management Software is a company that released a Winter 2007 edition of its software application called JobOrder, for Mac OS X and Windows systems. JobOrder can be an excellent helper for all businesses that use a project-based approach, so if your company is involved in a field such as advertising, consulting, architecture, construction, design or engineering, then this is for you.

JobOrder integrates job planning, tracking, billing and accounting, as well as all database functions, being able to plan, estimate and track jobs, manage schedules, assignments and budgets, produce reports, invoices and purchase orders and integrate full double-entry accounting. By providing instant access to all information, JobOrder eliminates clerical inefficiency and cuts administrative overhead, enabling your company to provide more reliable and cost-effective work.

This application is also capable of dealing with workflow issues such as authorizations and notifications, locate potential problems as soon as they begin to develop, empower flexible teamwork throughout the organization, automate routine tasks and delegate more responsibility to the staff.

JobOrder licenses can be used interchangeably on Mac, Windows, and via web browsers for Internet access. A license for JobOrder for Workgroups has a price of 2,995$, and prices can go up to 86,745$ for an Enterprise license able to hold 100 simultaneous users in Client-Server version. The JobOrder Digital Asset Management module is free for those that purchased a single user license, and many other licensing versions are available.
