Developed by Wizcode, Virtual Explorer offers Pocket PC users a complete file manager solution and additional features. The application is multi-platform, which means it's fully compatible with all devices running Windows CE, Pocket PC, Pocket PC 2002, Windows Mobile 2003, Windows Mobile 5, Windows Mobile 6 and supports all resolutions up to VGA 640x480. The installation only requires 1.5MB on your storage device and also supports devices that have the rotating screen feature.

Besides the intuitive and eye-candy interface, Virtual Explorer delivers three different view modes: single, dual and quadro. It features detachable toolbars, as well as integrated file, registry and recycle bin browsers. Furthermore, the integrated recycle bin features all basic operating system object types (files, folders, and registry) with support for encryption and compression.

For safety, Virtual Explorer uses integrated support for strong recursive file encryption or decryption, as well as integrated support for recursive file compression and decompression (.zip, .gzip, .bzip2, .tar, .lha, .arj). All folders and files can be checked with all their details and properties, so you know their size or time of creation.

The "File shredder" feature uses complex patterns that comply with National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual of the US Department of Defense and pseudorandom patterns, which should make you certain that your files are erased forever when you want to get rid of any data stored on your device.

Virtual Explorer has been designed to work in conjunction with another software developed by Wizcode – Pocket Mechanic Professional. The result is much faster file operations when working with Pocket Mechanic Professionals native FATFS API. Virtual Explorer can be used as a 30-day fully featured trial, after which you will have to register the application. The full version of the software can be acquired for $19.95 USD.
