As we already told on Monday, Toshiba has been planning the release of a couple of new portable systems that are expected to be part of its Qosimo lineup. It looks like Toshiba has finally decided to go official with the Qosimos, which come in three new flavors. Besides the G55, which we have already presented to you, the X305 and F55 are now the latest additions to the company's flagship notebook brand.

Some of you might already be familiar with the company's Qosimo lineup, but for those of you that are not, here's a quick reminder: they are developed to bring high-performance levels and quality for gaming and multimedia applications. This means that they are built using the latest in hardware technology and should offer a more than decent platform for demanding applications.

"The Qosmio has long been the standard of excellence in the multimedia laptop space, in both styling and entertainment capabilities," said Jeff Barney, vice president and general manager, Digital Products Division, Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc. "In an effort to take this standard to the next level for gamers and multimedia enthusiasts alike, the three new Qosmio models have been tailored specifically towards their personal interests, while staying true to the incredible user-experience that the Qosmio family is known for."

You can read the technical details about the G55 in Monday's piece, as today we will pay more attention to the other two new products, the X305 and F55, respectively.

Boasting a 17.1-inch widescreen high-definition display with TruBrite technology, the X305 has been built to become a portable solution for gaming users. The notebook takes advantage of the latest NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX GPU, and provides no less than 1GB of VRAM graphics memory. The X305 is going to offer up to 400 GB of storage space on dual hard drives and support for DDR3 memory. Even more, because it is meant to be a mean-looking portable gaming rig, Toshiba has built this machine in a bold chassis with a red-flamed Rogue design, topped off with Toshiba's Fusion finish.

The latter model, dubbed Qosimo F55, comes as a 15.4-inch notebook that also sports widescreen TruBrite high-definition display. This notebook is also said to be gaming capable, but provides better portability features. It comes with an NVIDIA GeForce 9700 GTS graphics card, with the help of which users can enjoy a fluid and impressive gaming experience.

Regarding availability, Toshiba stated that each one of these models would be made available to a variety of major consumer electronics and computer stores nationwide, later this summer.
