Early adopters are bound to get a taste of Chrome 14.0 rather soon, considering the moves that Google made this week. For the time being however, Google Chrome 13.0.782.13 is available for download through the Dev Channel, the latest update introduced for testers looking to take out for a spin the most advanced version of the open source browser save for Chromium releases.

Chrome 13.0.782.13 Dev brings to the table just minor updates compared with the previous Dev Channel refresh, which the Mountain View-based search giant provided early adopters just a day earlier.

Testers will be able to notice some minor improvements to the user interface, with the focus of Build 13.0.782.13 being placed on increasing the stability of the release.

Google emphasized that a number of bugs have been dealt with in Chrome 13.0.782.13 Dev, increasing the stability of this particular testing Build.

Apparently, the search giant has resolved issues associated with the Flash plug-in, which is integrated into Chrome 13.0. With the fixes now in place, testers will not be impacted by as many crashes related to Flash as with previous releases of Chrome 13.0 Dev. Google has not detailed the changes and bug fixes introduced in Chrome 13.0.782.13 Dev further.

Taking into consideration the fact that Chrome 12.0 is available for download as of earlier this week, it’s only a matter of time before Google pushes Chromium 14.0 to the Chrome Dev Channel.

This is nothing more than the natural evolution of Google’s open source browser, and with Chrome 14.0 hitting Dev, Chrome 13.0 will automatically graduate to the Beta Channel.

“As Chrome continues executing on its six-week release schedule, we’ve got many more improvements coming your way,” revealed Adrienne Walker, Chrome Software Engineer earlier this week.

It’s important to note that Chrome 13.0.782.13 Dev should not be used into production by end users, but only by early adopters in testing environments. The same is valid for the Beta releases of Chrome.
