The football, or soccer, management simulation market is definitely a very profitable one, as it allows companies to release yearly titles, which are guaranteed to sell, considering that football is one of the most popular sports games in the world.

Titles such as Fifa Manager from Electronic Arts or the very successful Football Manager franchise developed by Sports Interactive and published by Sega Europe are certain money makers for the companies that release them. But now it seems that even the standard versions won't do, as Sports Interactive has just announced that it has partnered with popular British soccer team Arsenal, in order to release a special edition of its Football Manager 2009 game.

The partnership, which has been announced yesterday, says that, in order to mark the success of the British team, Sports Interactive will make a custom version of its game, complete with an Arsenal theme, and stock full of official player photos of the team members. It will be released before Christmas and will be available on the team's official website and in fan stores across the whole country.

“To be able to team up with one of the largest football clubs in the world, and the closest to our studio, offering a special edition of Football Manager is a great honor for us,” said Miles Jacobson, studio director of Sports Interactive. “Arsenal is an incredibly forward thinking team both on and off the pitch, and this deal once again signifies how seriously our football management simulation is taken by the football world.”

This deal does seem very interesting, as the Sports Interactive team will certainly make a considerable profit, with Arsenal being an extremely popular team not only in the United Kingdom but across the whole world. Look forward to it as it will be launched very soon.
