I don't remember how many prizes did or didn't Ceasar III win, but it's surely one of the games that have made history and also generated dozens of clones, none of which being able to beat the original. So if you missed being again governor of a Roman province, now's your chance.

Vivendi Universal and Sierra Entertainment have announced at Games Convention 2005 that it's time to give Caesar what belongs to Caesar, hence, Caesar IV will take the story further. Developed by Tilted Mill Entertainment, the game will be fully 3D, with over 100 types of buildings, 75 characters, and modes, such as Career, Standalone and Sandbox Game.

The site already has a website, at this address, www.caesariv.com, where you will be able a dozen of screenshots, which are absolutely mindblowing. All that you wanted to see in 3D when you spent night after night playing Ceasar III will become reality in this new game.

On the site you can also find the promotional trailer used by Vivendi Universal to announce the game at GC 2005, which is highly recommended. The concept doesn't bring anything new and is not trying to reinvent something, so basically, the storyline will be identical.

From what we found out on the site, the game is scheduled for the fall of 2006 and it will be compatible only for PCs.
