Matrix Games decided to update their PureSim Baseball game to version 1.71 and considered that a simple upgrade was no enough, so they considered that cutting the game's price for a week would be great. And so they did - starting now until the 7th of April all the baseball fans can buy the game for 35% off the original price, via digital download. This means the digital download price is now reduced to $19.49 from the original $29.99 - a saving of $10.50!

This means that everybody who doesn't have a copy of the game already, can get an updated version much cheaper. Here are some of the most important changes brought to the game by this 1.71 update: it adds a new roster size, numerous simulation speed improvements and some AI and stat improvements. It also offers support for the new Lahman Database - which means that you will be able to play using the most accurate real players, as well as historical ones. And, don't forget - everything for a cheaper price!

David Heath, Director of Operations at Matrix Games, said "This Season Opener Sale is really a home run for baseball fans. PureSim Baseball 2007 provides every bit of the excitement and strategy found in baseball and with incredible customization too!" Just like any other good management game should do, we might add.

Since this game is a team management one and all the managers tend to love having, seeing and keeping all the possible stats in the world, Matrix's title has it all covered: PureSim Baseball comes with an automatically-generated dream almanac containing thousands of pages of detailed stats on players and team histories. Even more, a formatting tool that allows you to export these almanacs as HTML files and publish them onto the web is fully integrated in the game. And, who knows - if you really manage to do wonders for your virtual team and the right people see it, you might even become a real life manager!
