Blizzard is one of the biggest and most popular video game companies around the world, largely due to the fact that it listened to its user base and tried to deliver the most solid and interesting titles on the market, even though these games were often delayed and released “when they're done.”

Now, the next title to come from the company is StarCraft II, or at least its first chapter, which focuses on the Terran race, dubbed Wings of Liberty. Even though there haven't been any concrete statements, a lot of fans are speculating that a release during this year's holiday season is almost certain.

But now Blizzard sends word that anyone with a Battle.Net account might have the chance to get in on the highly rumored beta stage of the game. All they need to do is create an account on the brand new Battle.Net service, register at least one valid video game made by Blizzard Entertainment, starting from WarCraft II, and download a simple application.

This application, which is available on this page, needs to be installed on your system and will check all of your hardware components and upload the data to Blizzard servers, in order for the company to be certain about the type of PC configuration you have. After you are done with the data upload, be sure to check StarCraft II and click Update Preferences.

But don't think this will guarantee you a spot on the beta stage of this highly anticipated game, as, of course, the interest generated by StarCraft II is huge on a global scale, and only a few will be picked from the millions that will enter. With that said, you'd better access the Battle.Net website right now.
