Nostalgic people can purchase it for $1.99 or £1.49

If you are one of the people who had the chance to live the good times and play the original Dizzy platform game launched in the late ‘80s than this one is for you. The folks at Codemasters revived the old egg-like creature and set him loose on the Android platform.

Before getting too eggcited, and that’s the last of the egg puns in the story, know that the game doesn’t come for free. Those who want it badly will probably have no trouble in paying its $1.99 or £1.49 price, otherwise you might want to wait for a future promotional offer.

From what we hear the controls are pretty smooth even for those with larger thumbs, so there are little excuses not to buy this classic.

If you are one of the younger ones who did not have the chance to play the original computer game or simply weren’t into the gaming stuff at that time, then the following description should be enough to shed some light on the story of the game.

First of all, “Dizzy - Prince of the Yolkfolk” is not a remake of one of the old Dizzy series games, instead the developers created a whole new story that may or not be more interesting than the original ones.

The main goal is to lead Dizzy on his ultimate adventure to save his girlfriend, Daisy who has been kidnapped by evil wizard Zaks and imprisoned in a mysterious castle.

Along the way you’ll be running, rolling and somersaulting in a fairy tale kingdom, while collecting and solving puzzles at the same time.

“Dizzy - Prince of the Yolkfolk” is now available in the Android Market for $1.99 or £1.49 and is compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up.

Thumbs up for the folks at DNA Dynamics and Paul Ranson, the original game’s project director heading up development, who created this game.
