The AdWords advertising platform receives a new feature that was available as a beta testing since July 2006 and provides valuable information about your account. Basically, the Account Snapshot page is, as its name says, a snapshot of your entire account, providing useful information about your account such as campaigns and billing details. However, the most important update is not the function itself because it also comes with SMS alerts that help you stay informed wherever you are.

"You can access this new page whenever you want by clicking the "Account Snapshot" link on the top navigation bar. You can also set it to be the first thing you see when you log in (instead of the Campaign Summary page) by simply clicking the link at the bottom of either your Campaign Summary or Account Snapshot page. If you change your mind, you can always switch back to Campaign Summary by clicking the same link," Judy, the AdWords team said.

The SMS feature is now able to work with the popular e-mail alerts that are currently used by a lot of AdWords registered members. In addition to the e-mail notifications, the SMS alerts allows you to receive messages concerning billing, disapproved ads and campaign maintenance in any location and straight on your mobile phone.

In the recent period, Google has done incredible efforts to expand the advertising platform and especially AdWords, into the offline media. It all started a long time ago when the search giant signed deals with several newspapers in a move meant to take the online publishers into their pages. Soon after that, the Mountain View company partnered with numerous radio stations to create audio ads and play them for the US residents. Recently, the Audio Ads became available to all the publishers after it was a private beta test for a short period of time.
