With the era of optical media now gone, most of us are stuck with an impressive collection of CDs and DVDs that we have no use for, so a designer by the name of Seung-il Kim though it's just about time for us to find a use for these things.

His answer to this question is pretty simple: dumbbells.

Take all the optical media one has lying around and place it in two rounded containers that then are attached to a handle for creating a dumbbell.

When stacked together, the CDs that go into the two plastic covers can total up to 2.2kg, about a little less than 5 pounds, or just enough to get you out of the couch potato state the cold days ahead beg you to enter.

Sadly, for now, these dumbbells are just a concept, but there shouldn't be that much time until the DVDs we have lying around the house will help us all build up some muscle. (via Geek)
