As one of the main promoters of the entry-level mobile computer, ASUS has been releasing or expanding the availability of its netbooks quite frequently, and it seems that the latest such development is the launch of the ASUS Eee PC 1015PW.

By now, end-users will likely be quite familiar with the concept of a netbook as a low-end laptop designed for mobility and affordability, with less emphasis on performance.

This latest laptop from ASUS, however, the Eee PC 1015PW, was designed with special care to the overall design.

Basically, the netbook is aimed at fashion-conscious end-users that end up taking their mobile PC along to places and events where it will be out in the open, for all to see.

As such, ASUS implemented a wave pattern design that can follow one of three color options, those being Angel Skin, Gold Dust and Purple Rain.

It should be noted that the actual hardware is not a pushover either, the center piece being the Intel Atom N550 central processing unit.

This CPU is a dual-core part and has a clock speed of 1.5 GHz, while being backed up by 1 GB of RAM.

Storage space is provided by a hard disk drive with an internal capacity of 250 GB, while the ASUS web storage service brings another 500 GB to the equation.

Furthermore, graphics capabilities are available courtesy of the Intel GMA (graphics media accelerator) 3150, which has a LED-backlit, 10.1-inch LCD (1,024 x 600 pixels resolution) to work with.

Other specifications include Bluetooth 3.0, 802.11n WiFi, a webcam, a card reader and the ExpressGate instant-on OS.

Finally, all of this hardware is kept operational by a battery that ca last for up to 10 hours on a single charge.

As one would expect, the ASUS Eee PC 1015PW runs Windows 7 Starter. It has already been listed on Amazon.de, for a price of 339 Euro.
