A man from Germany is facing charges after allowing his 3-year-old daughter to ride a motorbike. Police officers stopped the toddler after seeing her riding the bike on a public road in Tuttlingen, Baden-Württemberg on Sunday afternoon.

The pocket bike has a top speed of 70 km per hour (40mph), which can be very dangerous for a child her age, although her 22-year-old father was standing nearby giving her instructions on how to operate the vehicle.

German publication The Local informs that police seized the diesel-engine bike and charged the girl's father with breaching insurance laws and licensing regulations.

Officers mentioned that although the vehicle was only a small pocket bike, the ride was “life-threatening” to the girl due to the speeds the bike could reach. What's more, the motorbike was not even registered for use on the road.

“It was an incident that would be more likely attributed to an adolescent or adult, not a three-year-old,” police said in a statement, according to the same publication.

“The father did not realize that a bad accident would have happened if the girl had just given it a little bit more throttle,” they added.

This is just another example of irresponsible parents who act imprudently and put their children's life in danger.
