Shortly after reportedly getting all cozy with Jennifer Aniston at this year’s Golden Globes award ceremony, Gerard Butler was spotted eating in the same place with Jessica Simpson, which inevitably prompted speculation as to the two of them dating (story via here).
Gerard and Jessica were seen having dinner once before, back in October, which could make this a second date, reports on the blogosphere are saying. Photos surfaced of the night in question, when the two stars happened to be eating in the same place at the same time, do not show them together, but arriving and leaving separately. For many, this is a clear indication that they were on a date, as ironical as this may sound.

Gerard has been linked to many of Hollywood’s lovely ladies in recent history. Could Jessica be his latest hook up?” Fame Pictures writes in the note accompanying the photos snapped on the occasion. From this to rumors taking over the celebrity blogosphere was, as one can imagine, just a small step.
As also noted above, last time Butler made headlines for other things than his movies, it was at the 2010 Golden Globes, where he rocked the red carpet with Jennifer Aniston to promote their upcoming film, “The Bounty Hunter.” “After they presented, [Butler and Aniston] were drinking Moet backstage. At one point, they were making out in the kitchen. They were attached at the hip all night. They definitely seemed very couple-y. Producers for the show were actually laughing about it over their walkie-talkies,” unnamed sources were telling the tabs shortly after the Golden Globes.
All this while, Jessica Simpson has been linked to Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan, with whom she’s been in the studio, presumably working on several new tracks. With all this, meeting Gerard Butler twice in the same place would seem too much of a coincidence, reports also say.
