The defense has cross-examined a key witness in the George Zimmerman murder trial, a friend of the victim's talking to him on the phone the night he died. The defense attorney started off the trial with a knock-knock joke, as I reported yesterday.

Rachel Jeantel has told the court about hearing Trayvon Martin yelling “Get off” during said conversation. She has also added that she heard the voice of a man asking “What are you doing around here?”

According to CBS News, she originally told Martin family attorney Benjamin Crump that she heard the man say “What are you talking about?”

She has now said that she was rushed when giving the original statement. Jeantel also lied on a previous occasion, when she told friends she was in the hospital to get out of attending Martin's funeral.
