If there's anyone qualified to talk about being an international star and reputable actor, that's probably George Clooney. In a recent interview, he's ripping into fellow actors who constantly complain about how difficult their job is.

It's not uncommon for an actor or an actress to speak out about the challenges of their daily occupation, but there are also those who literally complain about how badly they have it.

It's with them that Clooney has a problem. Before they open their mouth to complain, they should think how their life would have turned out if they got stuck with their pre-fame job, he said in a recent interview cited by The Telegraph.

“I cut tobacco for a living in Kentucky. That was hard work. I sold insurance door-to-door. That’s hard work. Acting is not hard work,” Clooney said.

“Acting is not hard work. If you’re lucky enough to be sitting at a table like this, you’ve been very lucky in your life. You caught the brass ring somewhere along the way,” he added.

Clooney is now rumored to be a strong contender for next year's Oscars, thanks to his role in “The Descendants,” and he has had several critical and commercial hits along the years. Not once did he go on the record to say his job was difficult.

“I’ve known a tremendous number of talented actors who didn’t get opportunities. Is it hard work? It’s long hours, but nobody wants to hear you complain. I remember I was selling women’s shoes at a department store, which is a lousy job,” he said in the same interview.

“So I don’t find it difficult. I find it challenging, and sometimes I’m very bad at it, but I don’t find it hard,” he added.

Clooney doesn't name any names, but he makes it very clear where he stands about stars who publicly lament their own life.
