More information about how George Clooney actually got Amal Alamuddin to date him in the first place after she wouldn't even give him the time of day has emerged. Sure, his silver fox looks didn't hurt any, but George had to use more than his smile to convince Amal to even take his phone number.

The Mirror is reporting that George first met Amal through a mutual friend, and he decided to chat her up, but she wouldn't even take his phone number, which he was giving away desperately. The newspaper claims that George then managed to seduce her with a string of flirty emails.

After she refused to take his number at a charity fundraising event last September, George sent her an email in which he made liberal use of his title of “Hottest man in the world.” His message wittily read, “I think the reported hottest man in the world should meet with the hottest human rights lawyer in the world.”

He must have done something right, because not only did he convince her to date him, but she's now even accepted to marry him, as the couple have been reported to have gotten engaged in the meantime.

The same source that dished out on the saucy emails also claims that Clooney is now already house-hunting in Richmond, South West London, in order to live closer to his attorney fiancée. The 53-year-old actor and the 36-year-old lawyer are now the talk of the tabloids since Clooney, a self-confessed bachelor for life, has finally decided to get married.

A friend of the couple reveals that “At first Amal was playing very hard to get and would not take his phone number, which simply made George even more intrigued. In the end he managed to get her email address and began sending her a series of flirty messages. He was very up front and joked about the fact they were both considered the hottest people in their respected professions.”

Clooney may have been a bit forward with his emails, but he wasn't far from the truth. He was voted hottest man alive on several occasions, and Amal, a barrister at London's Doughty Street Chambers, has been voted hottest barrister in London by a local blog called “Your Barrister Boyfriend.”

For the future, there are several reports indicating the new and hot couple are making plans for a wedding this autumn, which is likely to take place at Clooney's home in Lake Como, Italy.
