Every good superhero needs a “good” villain – and Michael Shannon is it

The latest issue of Empire magazine brings a fresh look at the villain in Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel”: Michael Shannon as General Zod – and he’s looking mighty fierce, if you ask me.

The alternate cover of the same issue is with Henry Cavill’s Superman.

Considering that every big movie has an equally impressive villain, it was about time the promo campaign for “Man of Steel” also started paying attention to Zod.

This officially happened for the first time with the release of a viral video in which a distorted Zod told Superman to surrender to him, and humans to give him up if they knew where he was or else face total annihilation.

Brace yourself for more!

“Man of Steel” also stars Amy Adams, Russell Crowe, Kevin Costner and Diane Lane, and drops this June. Are you hyped about it yet or do you need more convincing?
