General Mobile, a US-based company, unveiled the launch of General Mobile DST33, its latest handset from the DST series. Since DST stands for "Double Sim Technology", the new DST33 will support two SIM cards at the same time, allowing you to use both a personal and a business number in a single device. This can save money and time, as it lets you combine two different plans or two different network operators.

General Mobile DST33 doesn't have outstanding features, but it seems to be a good phone for users who don't need high-end devices. Weighing 95 grams and measuring 110 x 46 x 16.6 millimeters, DST33 comes in a classic candybar form and offers a 2 inch, 262k colors display, GPRS, WAP browser, Bluetooth 1.2, USB, Media player (with support for MP3, MP4, AAC, AAC+, WMA, MPEG4 and 3GP), Multimedia Messaging Service, FM radio, Sim Tool Kit, speakerphone, Voice recording, call vibration, text input predictive software, PC sync, unit and currency converter, health applications, photo editor, photo album and games. There's also a 1.3 Megapixel camera with multi shot, self timer and digital zoom, good to take pictures when there's no better device around.

With a full charged battery, General Mobile DST33 should provide a talk-time of about 4 hours and a stand-by time of up to 160 hours. The phone will hit the market starting this month (March 2008) in several European countries. Its price is not known for the moment, but judging after the phone's specs, it can only be an affordable one.

General Mobile is not that known in the mobile industry, because it only began to make mobile phones in late 2005. Until now the company has presented its products in different countries across the globe, including the US, Germany, Ukraine, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Azerbaijan and China.
