The newest card from AMD and NVIDIA's former flagship get to chill out

AMD's new Radeon R9 290X high-end graphics card got cooler makers to release products just for it, but Gelid didn't think that was enough for the Icy Vision rev. 2.0.

That's why it also made it compatible with NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 780, although this isn't as big an endorsement as it was last week.

After all, while GTX 780 was the NVIDIA flagship (not counting Titan), now the GTX 780 Ti is coming out, pushing the GTX 780 to third place (since 780 Ti is better than even Titan apparently, or as good).

Still, GTX 780 is a powerful card, and has a different PCB, so it's actually impressive that it works with the same cooler as an AMD model.

Said cooler has 5 heatpipes, 85 optimized high-quality aluminum fins, a flat stack fin soldered Copper base, and two 92mm UV-reactive fans (20% better air flow than normal fans).

The price of the Gelid Icy Vision rev. 2.0 is $55 / €40 – 55.
