"I don't think that's any great secret that we would like to do it on PC, but for now it's a 360 game. Eventually we'll get around to a PC version. I just don't know when," said Mark Rein, concerning the highly acclaimed 360 title, Gears of War, and also regarding the possibility of porting it to the PC. The game is Epic's first title developed exclusively for Microsoft Game Studios and the Xbox 360 gaming system. Gears of War thrusts gamers into a deep and harrowing story of humankind's epic battle for survival against the Locust Horde, a nightmarish race of creatures that surface from the bowels of the planet.

Co-founder of Epic, Mark Rein talked to Team Box about the possibility of Gears of War making it to the PC platform and made a very short and convincing speech, leaving everybody drool at the thought of this actually being true. Of course, Rein also said that an estimative release date isn't possible at the moment so the PC version shouldn't be coming very soon, but keep in mind that Gears of War was such a huge hit on the Xbox 360 platform that people actually bought the machine for Epic's game.

So, even though nothing is yet certain, it is very hard not to take Rein's statement for granted. A PC version of the game was already on everybody's lips, the game's huge success on the 360 is going to give the PC version a smooth launch and last but not least, we want to believe the damned statement.
