Epic Games has finally released the Horde Command DLC for its recent Gears of War 3 third person shooter, which was delayed after some technical issues, but is now available for download off Xbox Live on the Xbox 360 consoles.

Gears of War 3 impressed millions of gamers back in September when it was released, so many of them were looking forward to the first downloadable content pack for it, which was set to debut yesterday.

In a last minute announcement, however, Epic Games revealed that the DLC is delayed because of certain "technical issues".

Now, the DLC is finally available for download off Xbox Live, in exchange for 800 MS Points, or for free, if you already bought the Gears of War 3 Season Pass.

In case you forgot, here's what's included in the Horde Command DLC for Gears 3.

"The COG grows stronger with new fortification levels and command posts in Horde, two new weapon skin packs, and three multiplayer characters: Bernie, Onyx Guard, and Big Rig Dizzy. Also included are 250 Achievement Points; two new maps for Horde players, Azura and Rustlung; and a remake of the most popular Horde map of all time, Blood Drive."

What's more, as a token of appreciation for its loyal community, Epic Games confirmed that another, free add-on is coming just in time for Thanksgiving, in the form of the 'Versus Booster Map Pack'.

Included in the DLC are two remade maps from Gears of war 1, Clocktower and Swamp, as well as the three levels that have just been released with the Horde Command DLC: Azura, Rustlung, and Blood Drive.

Those who just paid money for them shouldn't be too upset, as these free editions of the maps won't allow players access to the fortification upgrades, new characters or weapon skins from the Horde Command pack. What's more, it won't come with any extra Gamerscore.

As a recap, Horde Command is available right now, Versus Booster pack arrives on November 24, while the previously announced RAAM's Shadow is still set for a December 13.
