Players new to the Gears of War series will be greeted with a special multiplayer mode in the upcoming Gears of War 3 title, which will slowly get them acquainted with the online features of the game and to the skilled players that have already enjoyed the first two games, as well as the recent multiplayer beta stage.

Online modes are essential to shooters like Call of Duty, Battlefield or Gears of War, as the loyal fanbase is eager to learn every trick and start dominating their opposition, which, most of the times, results in a great experience, but is extremely hard to get into for players that haven't tried it out until then, or who pick up the game after its release, when many online gamers have already learned everything there is to know about weapons, maps or strategies.

In order to make the upcoming Gears of War 3 title easier to get into, its producer, Rod Fergusson, and designer, Cliff Bleszinski, confirmed during the game's panel at last week's Comic-Con, that a special casual multiplayer mode was packed into the new game.

Basically, according to GameHunters, if the game detects you're new to the Gears of War experience, meaning you don't have achievements from the first two games or didn't participate in the multiplayer beta for Gears 3 recently, you'll be able to jump into this special casual multiplayer.

During this mode, players will have access to things like aim assist, and, after getting used to the mechanics or maps, have the option to join standard multiplayer modes alongside longtime fans of the Gears series, and not be humiliated for their lack of skill.

The standard single-player campaign of the new Gears title also has a casual setting, so that players less experienced with first-person shooters can also enjoy the story, which is set to be one of the longest ever told by Epic Games, and ends the planned trilogy of games made by the studio.

Gears of War 3 is set to appear exclusively for the Xbox 360 on September 20.
