Epic Games, the developers of Gears of War 3, and Calibur11, a creator of custom-made accessories for the Xbox 360 home gaming console, have announced that they are working together to launch the Gears of War 3 Vault, a case for the Slim version of the Microsoft platform, which includes a Bleed Out finish, a cradle for a controller and an LEF that glows every time a gamer is killed by an opponent.

The Gears of War 3 Vault is set to launch at the same time as the game it is linked with and will retail from selected online sources for 89.99 Euros.

Gamers can also order nameplates for the case, set to cost from 17.99 Euros.

Each of the Vault custom cases for the Xbox 360 will also include a chance for the gamer to win a complete COG armor replica imprinted with the Calibur 11 logo.

Coy Christmas, who is the chief executive officer of Calibur11, has stated, “We are huge fans of the ‘Gears of War’ franchise and really wanted to raise the bar with our exclusive Gears of War 3 Vault. We believe we have succeeded in doing so with the addition of the different colour modes and the Infected Omen which reacts every time you get downed or are revived in the game.”

Jay Wilbur, who is a vice president at Epic Games, added, “The quality of the Gears of War Vault 3 is phenomenal, and Calibur11 has done a great job of capturing the spirit of the franchise and enhancing the overall experience.”

Gears of War 3 will allow players to once again control Marcus Fenix, the grizzled old veteran of the COG forces, as he tries to shield the remnants of humanity from the assault of the well-known Locust and of the new and mutated Lambent.
