Welcome to the "exclusive" Xbox 360 title Gears of War, that has found its way onto the PC and will be available on November 6th. That's not the only good news, as PC owners will get to check out some extra content as well, like new singleplayer chapters and new multiplayer modes and maps.

The PC version of Gears of War features a new "King of the Hill" multiplayer mode, plus three new multiplayer maps and a cool new game editor. There's also a major showdown with the Brumak boss. All the downloadable content that was released so far for the Xbox 360 version will also be available for hardcore Gears of War fans. That stands for 19 multiplayer maps and we're about to go frantic again by shooting alien beasts, this time on our PCs.

Although the guys over at Epic have stated numerous times that we'll never see a PC version of their Xbox 360 blockbuster, now they say that the port was in development since the initial version surfaced. How's that for a surprise? You might want to know that the Windows Gears of War supports Vista and XP, but also keyboards and Xbox controllers. The game developers took some time to make Gears of War a playable title even on the older PCs, a feature that required tons of changes that affected the title's engine.

If you've already played the Xbox 360 title, there's a hot new option for you, that allows you to start directly from Act 5, plunging straight into the new levels. With all these bonuses for the new version of the game, the Xbox owners might wonder when they're going to get that cool content as well...It's funny when you think that the developers will have to change the engine again in order to port those levels back to the 360. So, it's one month of waiting and drooling for the long-awaited PC Gears of War.
