And it's cheaper

Overclockers UK are selling their OcUK GeForce 7900 GTO SILENT 512MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - OEM (GX-041-OK) for an incredible ?199.74 (including VAT). They also claim that the card is more or less identical to any 7900 GTX on the market, but it is ?50-90 cheaper than any other. Its memory is clocked slower but it doesn't affect the performance that much. It seems that the performance difference between a 7900 GTX and their card is only 5%.

It is a 24 pipeline G71 core clocked at 650MHz just as it is with Geforce 7900 GTX but the memory works at 1320MHz, while that on the GTX works at 1600MHz. In the forums, many people confirmed that GTO runs at this speed as you can easily overclock the memory to meet or surpass the GTX speed. Additionally, you can flash a 7900 GTX bios and it works well as the GTX.

Here are the specifications: - GeForce 7900 GTX Core running at 650MHz; - 512MB GDDR3 Extreme Memory running at 1320MHz; - 24 Pixel Pipelines; - Designed For Extreme HD Gaming - Delivering Ultra Realistic Gaming Experiences; - Dual link DVI support; - SLI ready; - Shader Model 3.0 Support; - True High Dynamic Range Rendering Support - Based on Open EXR technology.

Unfortunately, OcUK doesn't offer a good warranty, and if your card ends up smoking, as it may happen with an overclocked one, you are in trouble. There are 3 types of warranty available from OcUK. The most common is the 28 days one. The next is 1 year. And finally, they can offer warranty further than a year, but there are some conditions. Overall, if you are not planning on keeping this card for more than a year, it's a good deal.
