As Advanced Micro Devices announced the limited availability of the ATI Radeon HD 2900 Pro graphics processing units that are offering comparable levels of gaming performance with the 2900 XT model while keeping the price tag more affordable, a number of manufacturing companies that are active in the graphics cards market segment started preparations for a new generation of products based on the new GPU. Among the first companies to launch a ready to market product based on the Radeon HD 2900 Pro GPU is GeCube which just announced such a graphics card that comes with ''built-in HDMI support, 5.1 surround sound, DX10, GDDR3 512MB and VIVO (Video-In & Video-Out) while delivering outstanding performance in 3D gaming''.

The new GeCube graphics card is one of the top of the line cards based on the new generation of AMD graphics processing units and thanks to its advanced hardware make up it is capable of delivering the ultimate visual experience for high definition multimedia playback which is greatly enhanced by the presence of a high amount of dedicated video memory (512MB of GDDR3) that uses a very wide interface of 512-bits in order to communicate with the GPU and the host computer system.

The GeCube Radeom HD 2900 Pro is very easily scalable for offering even more gaming performance as the graphics processing unit natively supports CrossFire technology while at the same time eliminating the need of a master card which leads to greater flexibility. Just like the top of the line 2900 XT version, the Pro model comes with an integrated audio chip supporting 5.1 surround sound and a HDMI compliant hardware. This card uses the Dual-Link DVI in order to connect to a computer monitor and it is completely compatible with HDCP, HD-DVD and Blu-Ray.

On the hardware technical specifications side, the GeCube Radeom HD 2900 Pro graphics card is coming with top of the line features like the 600MHz running core and 1.6GHz video memory, while being able to process and apply the latest24X anti-aliasing and high speed 128-bit HDR (High Dynamic Range). As this is a card specially aimed at the gaming market segment, it comes with 320 Unified Stream Processors and integrated Physics processing as well as a built in 1024-bit based internal ring bus memory controller and dynamic geometry acceleration.

The GeCube Radeom HD 2900 Pro graphics card is fully certified to work with the latest Microsoft Windows Vista operating system that offer DirectX 10.0 capabilities, while being able to display resolutions up to 1920x1200 when used with single-link DVI or 2560x1600 for dual-link DVI and HDCP. On the system bus side, the 2900 Pro based graphics card uses a single full lane, full speed PCI Express x 16 slot for increased data bandwidth.
