For enhanced performance

GeCube, a Taiwanese graphics card manufacturer, has recently announced a new product based on AMD's latest HD4850. Having been designed for high-end performance, the new card offers users an impressive 1GB of GDDR3 graphics memory, and a GPU speed set above the reference model. The HD4850 Overclocking series follows one of GeCube's releases from July, which was also based on ATI's mid-range oriented Radeon HD4850.

AMD's HD4000-series have become one of the company's most successful product lineups, as they are able to provide users with an impressive graphics quality at a rather decent price point. This business strategy has allowed AMD's graphics subsidiary to claim the number one spot in the high-performance graphics market with its dual-chip Radeon HD 4870 X2. Ultimately, these cards have also boosted the businesses of the company's board partners.

GeCube is one of ATI's biggest partners, with an HD 4000-series-based product lineup that currently counts no less than eight graphics cards. All these are based on the successful HD 4850, HD 4870 and HD 4870 X2 graphics processors. GeCube's recently introduced HD 4850 1.0GB Overclocking series equips ATI's second generation 55nm RV770PRO GPU, combined with an exclusive ceramic fan for improved performance in some of the latest PC games.

The clock speed for the card's GPU has been factory overclocked to 625MHz, allowing GeCube's HD 4850 1.0GB Overclocking series to deliver incredible performance levels for decently priced desktop gaming rigs. Furthermore, the card is CrossFireX capable, which translates into a better overall performance, when two of these cards are coupled together in a CrossFireX setup.

GeCube has two RV770PRO-based graphics cards with 1GB of GDDR3 memory, but only one of these two has been factory overclocked. Both cards benefit from a dual slot fansink, and support Microsoft's DirectX 10.1 and Shader model 4.1. Unfortunately, so far, the company hasn't released any details regarding pricing and availability.
