The E-6610 features high-capacity SATA II hard drives (supporting RAID 0, 1 or 5) enabling therefore the users to add multiple hard drives for an increased performance or enhanced data protection. Moreover, you will benefit from a wide hard drive configurations range of 80GB to 500GB.
But Gateway's new desktop can be configured with up to 4GB of DDR2 Error Correcting Code (ECC) memory, which includes special circuitry to test and fix the accuracy of data as it passes in and out of memory. That is a pretty new feature in the computing segment.
The Gateway E-6610 boasts a wide range of high-performance technologies partially delivered by Intel's latest Core 2 Duo processors, but it also features NVidia Quadro FX 550 OpenGL graphics card in order to be a viable solution for the software developers, architects and CAD/CAM engineers which can now use complex 3D graphics on this system.
