Even though the display market is already swarming with a myriad of monitors, Gateway decided it was time for a new trio of Full HD widescreen models to make their appearance, so it created the FHX2152L, FHD2303L and FHX2402L.

As their names imply, the FHX2152L, FHD2303L and FHX2402L have display sizes of 21.5 inches, 23 inches and 24 inches, respectively.

The three newcomers are liquid crystal displays that use the widescreen aspect ratio and LED for backlighting, ensuring a high image quality as well as energy efficiency.

The main asset of the three newcomers is that they sport a native resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, which means that they fully support Full HD multimedia playback and gaming.

Their second major advantage over certain competitors is their DCR (Dynamic Contrast Ratio) of 12,000,000:1.

The monitors also feature a brightness of 250 cd/m2 and a response time of 2ms on the FHX models, while the FHD one works at 5ms.

Other specifications include D-Sub and DVI video outputs, as well as a HDMI connector on the 23-inch and 24-inch displays.

As for the design itself, the newcomer were built with a transparent frame and a asymmetrical stand with a slim base.

“These new Gateway monitors give consumers a choice in style and functionality when choosing a monitor for their home or office,” said Irene Chan, senior product marketing manager for peripherals, Acer America.

“All three models offer advanced display technology that meets a wide variety of viewing needs combined with the power-saving features and an eco-friendly design that are important to today’s consumers,” Chan went on to saying.

The FHX2152L, FHD2303L and FHX2402L will ship later this month. The first two have price tags of $189.99 and $249.99, respectively, while the third has not been priced as of yet.
