An Intel or AMD CPU (subject to user choice) is backed by up to 8 GB of DDR3 RAM and manages the information stored on a HDD of 1 TB.
A full-size keyboard with numeric keypad, USB 3.0, an HDMI port, and a super-multi DVD drive are the other major assets.
The 15.6-inch laptops are called Gateway NE5 and have a starting price of $379.99 / €379.99, while the 17.3-inch models are called Gateway NE7 and sell for $449.99 / €449.99.
