Gateway Inc. has designed a low-cost, entry level performance-oriented server platform for small businesses, workgroups and branch offices.

Designed with small businesses and workgroups in mind, the Gateway E-9220T is scalable and expandable capable of growing with the company. The BTX tower chassis supports a wide range of 64-bit compatible processors including Intel Celeron, Intel Pentium 4 and the dual core enabled Intel Pentium D and Intel Pentium Extreme Edition. The unit also offers Intel's latest E7230 chipset specifically designed for entry-level servers.

In addition to multiple processor choices, the Gateway E-9220T server offers multiple hard drive options with support for up to four SATA or SCSI hard drives totaling 1.6TB of internal storage. The Gateway E-9220T server features Gateway's two-fan BTX design delivering whisper-quiet operation and lowered thermals from the unit's dual 120MM fans.

Furthermore, the system utilizes a tool-free chassis that is easy to open for quick maintenance and upgrades of hard drives, fans and other components.

The E-9220T supports multiple Microsoft Windows Server 2003 SP1 operating systems including standard and premium editions of 2003 Small Business Server SP1, 2003 Standard Edition SP1, 2003 Enterprise Edition SP1 and 2003 Web Edition SP1; the server comes complete with the Gateway System Manager (GSM).
