A man from Llanharry, South Wales can pride himself on growing the gigantic marrow that you can see above in a very short amount of time. It reportedly took just five weeks for it to grow.

According to the Mirror, Phil Vowles used a cross-pollination technique to develop the vegetable. It weighs a whopping 118 lb (53 kg) and he admits that he needs help from his son getting it off the ground.

“It’s very unusual for it to grow so quick. It’s the biggest I’ve ever produced – I had to get my son to help me lift it,” he describes.

This particular marrow does not hold any world record, but Vowles does have the title for producing the largest cucumber in the world, weighing 118 lb 8 oz (53.7 kg).
