Gamers will be pleased to know that the total global collection of high-performance DDR3 memory kits will soon expand, with A-DATA announcing the XPG gaming series v2.0 DRAM module with frequencies of DDR3-1600, DDR3-1866, and DDR3-2200 MHz. These memory modules feature the Thermal Conductivity Technology (TCT), which places every single chip in direct contact with the large aluminum heatsink for immediate heat spreading away from critical areas. The PCB also boasts double the usual amount of copper for an improved energy efficiency and lower system temperature.

"The gaming enthusiasts are seeking for higher PC performance to improve their gaming experiences. We created XPG Gaming Series v2.0 DRAM module to satisfy those gaming enthusiasts for their insatiable thirst of unlimited gaming experience," Action Chen, deputy project manager of A-DATA XPG Department, said. "The new XPG Gaming Series v2.0 DRAM module offers an elegant, killer speed, and stability solution for those gaming enthusiasts to achieve their goal in the gaming community."

The memory units may come in 2GB/4GB dual channel and 6GB triple channel memory kits and all DRAM ICs are verified by overclocking criteria. The 2oz copper eight-layer PCB not only assists in heat management, but also increases the DRAM module's lifetime, avoids electric waste by decreasing the resistance of electronic flow and improves signal integrity. Additionally, the DDR3-2200G, the DDR3-1866GDDR3 and the DDR3-1600G all have a CAS latency of 9-9-9-24 and operate on 1.55V to 1.75V. The frequencies are backwards compatible.

The XPG series v2.0 DRAM modules from A-DATA are optimized for 64-bit operating systems and will work on both AMD and Intel-powered configurations. The first kits released will be the dual-channel ones. In the second quarter of the ongoing year, A-DATA will also launch the 6GB triple channel for X58 motherboards likely aimed for use with the upcoming Core i7 980X hexa-core processor.

The products come with a limited lifetime warranty and more information may be found at http://www.adata.com.tw/xpg/en/.
