The concept of war seems to be showing up in a lot of media, be they games, films, comics or anything else, and XFX decided to introduce it to peripherals as well, or at least mice, hence its newest mouse pad.

One would think that the sensitivity of mice nowadays would make it unnecessary to move the thing more than a few inches in order to cover the whole of the display.

Then again, there are those gamers that prefer lower response settings or just want to be sure that they can move the mouse around unimpeded as much as they wish.

Regardless of the reason, the fact is that large mouse pads are definitely not suffering from a shortage of buyers.

Turns out that one of, if not the latest of such things to show up was developed by XFX, international purveyor of video cards and game-themed peripherals, among other things.

Described in detail on its product page the WarPad, as it is called, might just be the largest mouse pad ever made.

It measures no less than 16.97 inches x 13.98 inches (the thickness is 6 mm) and, in addition to eliminating mouse friction, also ensures hand comfort, since the main issue with long gaming sessions is that the wrist presses or rubs against the table or desk uncomfortably. The same goes for the forearm.

XFX even designed the newcomer in such a way that it can slide back and forth on the desk, though the two tabs on the underside of the curved surface clamp to the desk and keep it in place at any other time (XFX names this the edgeless support system).

With a price of $55, the product has been fully detailed (and, naturally, praised) on the aforementioned official web page that XFX set up on its website.
