If you believe that NVIDIA's 3D Vision Surround or AMD's Eyefinity are the best possible solutions a gamer can employ in order to enhance the available desktop space, then think again, because neither will even come close to what a crazy MMO gamer from China managed to achieve.

What this guy did was probably a world record, the gamer in question playing his favorite game (probably getting involved in a raid as well) on a LED display measuring no less than 7,500 square meters.

As the MMOSite informs us, the respective gargantuan display is located in Beijing, China, in an area known as “The Place” and called (in a very loose translation) "Everyone in Beijing Looks up", its primary use being that of a public digital signage, of course.

However, one day (on November 21'st, 2010, to be precise), the display changed its purpose for a few minutes, one hardcore MMO gamer (a guildmaster, nonetheless) actually renting the space in order to play his favorite game (apparently, we're talking about the Chinese MMORPG “Magic World Online 2” for a couple of minutes, at a huge scale.

As mentioned before, this thing measures 250 meters long and 30 meters wide, having a total area of 7,600 square meters, which makes it the largest of its kind in all of Asia and the world's second largest.

Naturally, in order to be able to get access to this space even if for a very small amount of time, the gamer had to cough up a significant amount of money, estimated at around RMB 100,000 (or 15,000 US dollars), which is quite a lot, especially since he only played for around 10 minutes or so.

This is an extremely impressive feat, and we're not eagerly waiting to see what the answer of the competing guildmasters from the same MMO will be. Will they be able to up the ante on this guy or not?
