Starting today, owners of Android-based devices can download a new title coming from Gameloft, namely Total Conquest.

Released as a strategic social game, it puts users in the position to play as a Roman governor who has to build his own city-state and army.

“Sound the call to battle and join legions of players online in a battle to control the Roman Empire,” the game’s description reads.

“You’ll need to join a powerful Legion -- or forge your own -- to defeat your enemies, protect your lands, and reign supreme. Vae victis!”

According to Gameloft, the new title should prove a real war strategy game for Android users, designed for a wide range of players, especially for those who enjoy a good online fight.

Those who engage in the battle will have to build and manage their own unique city-state, while also being put in the position to defend it with Towers, Traps, Walls, Gates, and garrisoned units.

Furthermore, the game will allow them to hire, train, and upgrade 10 different unit types, each with a specific role.

The features list of the mobile game also includes:

- Take on a challenging solo campaign to master the art of war games - Battle players from around the world and lead your army to victory - Create or join a Legion of powerful players and get reinforcements from the other members - Coordinate with your allies to win Legion Wars - Fight to increase your Legion ranking and earn great rewards

The new Gameloft title will also enable users to invite their friends from Facebook and Game Center to join the fun, and will provide them with the possibility to compare their score to that of other players via the Game Center or the in-game leaderboard.

You can download Total Conquest for Android from Softpedia today. It is available for free for all Android 2.3 and up devices.
