Leading game developer Gameloft has just announced the availability of two new titles for the devices running under Google's Android operating system, namely N.O.V.A. 2 Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance and Dungeon Hunter 2.

Both games have been available for Apple's iOS devices for quite some time now, and are among the most popular mobile games for the platform.

N.O.V.A. 2 Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance, one of the critically acclaimed mobile games for iPhone and iPod Touch, was made available exclusively on the Xperia PLAY for the time being.

Following one month of availability on Sony Ericsson's new gaming powerhouse, the mobile title should be released for other Android-based devices as well.

“Owners of the Xperia PLAY can purchase the game this very moment from the Gameloft store by opening their Xperia PLAY control pad and browsing the “more games” section of the gaming widget,” the company notes in a recent blog post.

As for Dungeon Hunter 2, another smash-hit iPhone and iPad game, it has been just released in the Android HD offering the publisher has in store for users of Google's mobile OS.

“Featuring an exclusive co-op multiplayer mode, local or online: combine your skills and fight with up to 2 companions. Leaderboard, match-making, achievements and more: pretty much what we like to call ‘endless fun’,” the company explains.

Dungeon Hunter 2 can be downloaded on selected devices from Gameloft's online store, either from the desktop computer at home, or directly from the Android phone.

Among the supported devices, the company notes: HTC Desire, Desire HD & Desire Z, Google Nexus S, Samsung Galaxy S, Atlas & Vibrant and Motorola Droid X & Droid 2.
