Mobile game publisher Gameloft has just announced that a new highly addictive game is now available for download for users of devices powered by Google's Android operating system. Arriving as the continuation of the popular FPS games on Android Modern Combat, the new Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus brings a better gameplay, the company notes.

Weighing in at only 1.1MB the new mobile game was made available for download via the Android Market, something that is somehow unusual for Gameloft.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the game publisher has chosen until now to release its Android games via its own online portal.

However, this is not the first mobile game that Gameloft makes available through Google's software portal.

“Complete the mission unveiled in the first opus of one of the most acclaimed FPS games on Android, this time on fronts all over the globe,” the game's description reads.

“Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus further improves the exemplary gameplay of the first Modern Combat game for an astounding immersion in a modern war experience.”

Some more info what the new game would have to offer to those interested in giving it a try would be available in the video embedded below.

Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus sports a price tag of $6.99, and is compatible with devices running under Google's Android 2.0 or newer platform flavors.

Before hitting the link to the Android Market to give the title a try, users should know that some of those who already downloaded and purchased it gave met some issues with it.

The game includes a device compatibility check, which could be a problem for users with unsupported devices.

Those who have Android devices that should play nicely with the new Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus will be able to find the game available in the Android Market here.
