14 DAY TRIAL // Less than two weeks ago Gameloft launched a new game on Android and iOS platforms, Battle Odyssey. As expected, the game made its debut on Windows Phone several days later.
Although developers usually delay the release of their apps and games on Windows Phone platform by months, Gameloft's game arrived on Microsoft's mobile operating system only one week later.
On top of that, the game is available for free, though it does feature in-app purchases, so make sure you disable this option if you don't want to spend any real money while playing Battle Odyssey.
Battle Odyssey is a 3-match puzzle with PvP and card game elements. According to Gameloft, the game would be perfect for fans of puzzle game, fantasy RPGs, and action heroes.
Here is a short description of the game: “Welcome to Pondera, a fantasy world far beyond the ocean, lush with magic, but being corrupted by evil. Your elemental powers can save this land, but you’ll need to collect brave Allies to take action by your side!”
Play real-time Versus Battles with advanced matchmaking
Players will be able to recruit and collect more than 500 Allies belonging to different factions. Keep in mind that each Ally has an Elemental Affinity, while some have a unique skill and battle ability.
The game provides more battle options, so you can either drag your finger to link like-colored Orbs or spend Action Points to link different-colored Orbs for powerful combos.
Gameloft also included some Special Patterns that should add strategy elements by allowing players to heal Allies, delay enemy attacks and more.
As mentioned earlier, Battle Odyssey comes with PvP features, so players will be able to battle in real-time Versus Battles with advanced matchmaking for the ultimate test of puzzle skill and strategy. Regular limited-time events with rewards are available as well.
You can now download Battle Odyssey for Windows Phone for free via Windows Phone Store. The game should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 8 and up.
