The games will be available on the market by the end of this year

Gameloft, a well-known publisher and developer of video games for mobile phones, announced last week the release of 17 new games for the fourth quarter of 2006, which will raise the total number of titles released this year to 44.

Gameloft also reached a monumental breakthrough with 25 of its titles to date eclipsing one million units sold each.

Titles scheduled for release in the fourth quarter of 2006:

Miami Nights: Singles in the City - Following in the footsteps of blockbuster New York Nights, considered to be the benchmark of life-simulation mobile games, Miami Nights offers a freedom of action and movement never before seen in this format, packaged in an environment both excitingly attractive and demonic.

Dogz - After having made its mark on PCs as well as portable consoles, the Dogz brand has been launched as a mobile game to satisfy people's current infatuation with virtual pets. There are several choices of puppies for you to adopt, a super-intuitive interface, more than 10 places to explore, and just as many mini-games-you'll find it very hard to be away from your companion!

Brain Challenge - In line with brain health concern awareness and surfing on the halo-effect from Nintendo's successful Brain Training games, Brain Challenge is Gameloft's answer to the brain game craze, with a deeper insight in the genre.

Naval Battle: Mission Commander - This great classic is now available in a Bluetooth multiplayer version. Better yet, Gameloft has added its own personal touch by imposing a whole new gamut of rules demanding your smartest tactical strategies!

Deal or no Deal - (UK only) The official mobile game of the current biggest show on Channel 4 in the UK, with an average 2.6 million viewers and a 23% audience share. This special edition, hosted by Noel Edmonds himself, offers a brand new mode based on trivia questions and varied objectives for more heart-pounding challenges will surely satisfy both fans who crave new features and casual gamers.

Asphalt 3: Street Rules - The most famous mobile racing franchise makes a comeback for an "underground" episode.
