Mobile games developer and publisher, Gameloft, announced that their highly acclaimed and extremely addictive game 'Deal or No Deal', has been confirmed as being the number one best selling UK game for 13 consecutive weeks, according to official figures released by the ELSPA chart track. 'Deal or No Deal', the official mobile game of the popular game show hosted by Noel Edmonds, was released into the UK market in November 2006 and went straight in at the number one spot, where it has been for the past three consecutive months. To date the game has already generated sales in excess of half a million units in the UK, all within a four month time period.

"Deal or No Deal has taken the mobile game markets by storm," said Alexandre Tan Country Manager at Gameloft UK. "We knew that with such a strong mass market licence the game would do well, but the actual results have been absolutely incredible. The success of Desperate Housewives is confirming that our commercial and licensing strategy is paying off and reinforces that mobile gaming is a truly mass market, with a huge interest from women and other non classic video games addicts." The recently launched 'Desperate Housewives', mentioned before by Alexandre Tan, is currently in the top three spot within the O2 weekly chart report.

Gameloft was founded in 1999 and it has emerged as one of the top innovators in its field. The company creates games for mobile handsets equipped with Java, Brew, or Symbian technology. Gameloft has partnership agreements with leading licensors and personalities such as Ubisoft Entertainment, Universal Pictures, Endemol, Viacom, Sony Pictures, FifPro, Paris Hilton Ent., Lamborghini, Derek Jeter, Reggie Bush, Steven Gerrard, Vijay Singh and Llewton Hewitt. In addition, Gameloft owns and operates brands such as Block Breaker Deluxe, Asphalt: Urban GT and New York Nights. As a result of agreements with telecom carriers, handset manufacturers, specialized distributors and its online store, Gameloft now boasts a distribution network covering 75 countries.
