14 DAY TRIAL // GameSpy announced that its multiplayer services will be taken offline back in December 2013, after fewer and fewer studios opted to use the solutions provided by the company.
The servers will go offline on May 31, 2014, and many games will be affected by the shutdown. Thankfully, a Reddit thread is currently compiling the list of games that will be impacted by the impending cessation of services, and the games are neatly organized in a list showing which ones will be affected, which ones will probably be unaffected and which ones will be completely unaffected.
Unfortunately, there is a very wide gray area, as the majority of the listed games' future is yet uncertain. Although the multiplayer service provided by GameSpy is lacking as far as modern standards go, there will be a startling number of games finding themselves with clipped wings once the servers go down.
